Jeddah Port, also known as Jeddah Islamic seaport, is Saudi Arabia’s main port serving the holy cities of Mecca and Medina. Due to this, it handles 59% of the Saudi’s sea imports. The Port was established in September 1976 and has been developed and adapted to now accommodate the latest generation of large container vessels with their capacity of 6500 TEUs.
