The Port of Ho Chi Minh was established in 1994. Since then it has undergone many changes to develop into an independent port, available without having to directly travel through the city. It is located downstream to the Saigon River, right next to Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone and only 6 km from Ho Chi Minh City center.
